VanEck JitoSOL ETF S-1 Filing
On August 22, 2025 the S-1 filing of the VanEck JitoSOL ETF was submitted to the SEC, making it the first spot Solana ETF backed 100% by JitoSOL, the largest Liquid Staking Token (LST) on Solana.
This filing is the culmination of months of collaborative policy outreach efforts to regulatory bodies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as ongoing business development and educational work from multiple ecosystem contributors.

BAM is live on testnet
On August 11, 2025, BAM testnet rolled out with an initial set of validators!
Marking the 1st step toward bringing private, verifiable block building to Solana.

DeFi Education Fund
On August 27, 2025 the Jito Foundation proudly signed the DeFi Education Fund (DEF) coalition letter urging Congress to provide robust, nationwide protections for software developers and service providers in market structure legislation.

JIP-24
JIP-24 outlines a fee restructuring for Block Engine fees.
Instead of the current 50/50 split of Jito Block Engine fees between Jito Labs and the Jito DAO, JIP-24 proposes 100% go to the Jito DAO Treasury (including all future BAM fees).
• Current: 6% Block Engine fees split 50/50 (Labs/DAO)
• Proposed: 100% to DAO Treasury + ALL future BAM (Block Assembly Marketplace) fees

JIP-25
On August 20, 2025 the latest JIP-25 was shared with the community on the Jito Network forum.
JIP-25 outlines expanding the validator set to 400, revising StakeNet scoring, pausing the fee rule, and ranking based on commission, MEV share, and validator age.
